I recently reread QuantumPhysica 's marvellous A Borrowed Voice, which prompted me to do a few new drawings for this intriguing story. As a result, I decided to post both my older fanart (older than my dA account) and newer pieces on this site. They are all done with ballpoint pen over a pencil draft.
A Borrowed Voice is a Silmarillion-centered fanfiction in a modern setting, where the orphaned youth Thomas Ashworth is given a supernatural mission to recall ancient, wandering Elvish souls that are still haunting this living world, and more than coincidentally, his "therapist" and sort-of assistant is a living Elf... This piece is inspired by the eleventh chapter, featuring Caroline encouraging Thomas as the latter is faced with a deep sense of loss and unfairness over his parents' lifestory and loss.
